Pilot Project to Synthesize and Integrate Learning from Across our Leadership Development Evaluations
In 2005-2006 the circle worked on a Pilot Project to Synthesize and Integrate Learning from Across our Leadership Development Evaluations. This wiki is viewable to all, however it is password protected so that only learning circle participants are able to edit the wiki, upload documents and particpate in discussion. We invite you to get involved!
The Evaluation Learning Circle undertook this collaborative learning project to gather and collect evidence and insights from our leadership development evaluations around the following four questions:
It is our belief that new knowledge and insights about leadership development will emerge when we connect what we know from our evaluations, research, and experiences with what others know. Through the use of Wiki technology, we invite you to contribute evidence, insights, and lessons learned about these four questions.
Here’s how to get started
- Familiarize yourself with what a Wiki is and using the Wiki
- Click on the question you are interested in addressing. There you will find a template to assist you in answering the question and documents that others have created.
- Reflect on experiences you have had, and evaluations or research you have conducted (or have access to) that contribute to answering the question you have selected.
- Read the contributions that others have made and add your thoughts, comments and questions to the discussion area for each question accessible from the tab at the top of the question's page. (Only Circle participants are able to contribute to the discussion. To learn more about becoming a learning circle member, contact Claire Reinelt at claire<at>leadershiplearning<dot>org)
- Create a document using the templates provided on the question pages linked above and upload it (or another document of your choosing) with your evidence, insights, and lessons learned
Other ways to learn and contribute
- Add yourself to the Who Is Here page. Explore the Who Is Here to find out who your colleagues are, what projects they are currently working on, and what questions are motivating their work. Then profile yourself using the instructions on how to create a page.
- Provide real-time feedback on the process of using the Wiki, what’s working and not working for you.
- Attend Creating Space VII, April 5-7, in Durham North Carolina. On the morning of April 5th the Evaluation Learning Circle will meet to discuss this project, what is being learned, how the Wiki technology supports collaborative knowledge creation, and where to go from here.
- Download and read a synthesis of the gathering we held that launched this project Synthesizing and Integrating Learning From Across our Leadership Development Evaluations.
